Rocky DeSantos (played by Steve Cardenas) is a fictional character in the Power Rangers universe. He appeared first in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers tv series.
Rocky replaced Jason Lee Scott as the Red Ranger in the second season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and remained the Red Ranger throughout the remainder of that season and the following season, up until Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers, when he was shrunk to a child and became powerless. He sought and retrieved one of the Zeo Crystal fragments.
In Power Rangers: Zeo he became Zeo Ranger 3: Blue. In this time, Jason Lee Scott returned as the Gold Ranger, and Rocky was left feeling unneeded for a time. He got over it.
In Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, Rocky injured his back and was unable to join the other Power Rangers when they went to Muiranthias. He was replaced in the movie (and the subsequent series) by Justin Stewart.
Rocky did not appear in the Red Ranger special Forever Red in Power Rangers: Wild Force , and was the only Red Ranger not to do so. The reason for this is that the only set of Red Power Armor he wore was identical to that of the original Red Ranger, Jason, who was more popular with fans. Nevertheless, it is ironic, because Rocky was the longest-serving Red Ranger (although not the longest serving Power Ranger that had also been a Red Ranger - a title that belongs to Thomas Oliver).
Rocky is notable for being one of the few Red Rangers not to actually led a Power Rangers team, the other is Aurico, the Red Aquitar Alien Ranger.
